Very decent price for its location. Many different selections of food. However, one time I came later in the afternoon and some of the items were out. Since I discovered this place a few weeks ago, I've been back a few more times. I always got the 3 items combo togo since it's $11.50 plus tax. The price valid for whole day if takeout and lunch if dine in. The combo comes with either rice or porridge. They charge $.80 for card so bring cash if you have one. Some of the staff don't speak English but wasn't much of a trouble when ordering.

EDIT: For comparison, look at the 4.7 stars on Fantuan, a Chinese delivery service much more trustworthy to review Chinese restaurants. 这是我最爱的饭馆。Dunno why it gets so much hate on google maps. The prices are great, the people help me practice Chinese. The staff know what gluten is. It’s great.

This is only for Takeout Lunch Review! Yu's Garden is one of my favorite Taiwanese restaurants for takeout during lunchtime. Their combo boxes, priced around $13, offer three delicious items that my family loves. Our top picks are the beef tripe (牛肚), beef shank (牛腱), and pig ears (豬耳朵). Sometimes, the three-cup chicken (三杯雞) is not as tender as I'd like, but it's worth a try. Other great options include scallion oil chicken (蔥花雞), eggplant (茄子), and braised bamboo shoots (油燜筍). Paying with a credit card adds just 80 cents to the total. The only downside is the poorly planned ordering line, where customers move back and forth before paying at the front, causing some congestion. The payment counter can be moved to the back, like Panda Express ordering line, because the staff can easily get items from the kitchen. Despite this, the food quality and value make it a great choice for lunch.

This is an OG Irvine gem! The first time I came here I was probably 6 years old. Nothing has changed, except that now they accept credit cards (with an 80 cent fee, lol). Where do I begin? There are so many delicious options. I love their tofu options, their eggplant, their cold sides. You also get to choose from a side of rice or porridge - ALWAYS GET THE PORRIDGE. It’s so homey, and even more perfect especially if you’re feeling under the weather. Need I also say that you won’t find a better deal for a three-item combo - only $12! If you live in Irvine and haven’t been yet, I highly encourage you to stop by and give them your business!

The dinner was a unique experience. The servers behind the counter helped us navigate and explain the many different types of foods. We selected the "any 2 items for $9.99, dine in dinner." They charge $0.80 for using a charge card. The eggplant was good. The other items were ok. The service was pleasant. There was a line, but it moved very quickly.

I've been getting their 3-dish lunch special for years. Even though the lunchbox size has shrunk but it's still a great value. However my most recent experience caused me to question their food refrigeration practice. I bought 3 cold dishes and 2 were spoiled. So be aware of those cold dishes. Better to choose freshly cooked hot dishes. The place is always crowded and people waiting in line to get lunch takeout during lunch hours.
